Excellent as an attractive succulent ground cover, Cape Blanco has soft white foliage with pinkish overtones on tiny rosettes with yellow flowers. Only about 2 inches high it spreads at a moderate rate yet is easily controlled. Enjoys part to full shade with good drainage (grit, small rocks, or sand mixed in soil). Takes light shade or full sun in cool summer areas. Hardy to about 5 degrees F. Cape Blanco has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. Sky thinks it's the most beautiful of the low growing sedums.
