One of the smallest leafed thymes. Perfect for tiny meadows, lawns, betwen pavers. Ideal for fairy gardens and containers. Will climb or spill over an edge if confined! The color and texture are perfect for mini animals, small scale people and very tiny gardens. It is often used in mass planting as a lawn substitute in the big world. We love Elfin for it's bright color, hardiness and tiny flowers. It was our farm meadow on our first garden railroad. We use it randomly planted for color and weed suppression on our second garden railroad. Keep moderately moist in well drained average soil. This is a durable plant that can be walked on in moderation. Add grit or rock to soil in wet climates. Likes hot dry areas but not hot humid areas. Needs full to part sun. Zones: 4-9.
