TUNDRA is noted for it's small stature and beautiful small dark green needles with striking silver gray undersides. Rated as a small dwarf we think the new introduction will eventually be known for it’s miniature stature. This easy growing plant is perfect for troughs, small or limited spaces or as an attractive specimen in the regular garden. Tundra does well in containers such as patio plant or as Bonsai. Prefers full sun to or part shade part in hot summer areas,. Performs best in moist, well drained average soil. A small amount of fertilizer or compost in the spring will help bring on the dramatic needle colors. Approximate height at 10 years is 12-15 inches high and wide forming a soft, dark green cushion with white needle buds in winter. Shipping size 4-6 inch plants 3-4 years old in small containers.
